Winter 2012 Family Drop-in Discovery Days at Torrey Pines

On the third weekend of the month, bring your family to Torrey Pines State Natural Reserve and learn more about the nature of the Reserve. No reservations, no age limits, just stop by!  All programs run 2-4 pm. Although the programs are free, day use parking fees apply.

February 19 Birding Basics
Meet in front of the Visitor Center to get tips on finding and identifying birds, then head out on a bird hike on your own.
March 18 Geology Rocks
We'll be near the West Overlook (behind the west parking lot). Stop by, learn how geologists read the earth's history in its rocks, and experiment with magnetite from the soil.
April 15 Flower Power
Walk to the Guy Fleming Trail South Overlook and find out why our seasonal wildflowers aren't just pretty, they're tough survivors.
